In the I-st half of the year Ukrainian enterprises produced 24,9 thousand freight cars, which is 40% more than last year. At the current pace is increasing and their production in Russia – in the I-st half the plants produced 31 thousand wagons (41%).
One of the reasons for the sharp growth in production is the low base of the first half of 2010 – Russian and Ukrainian enterprises produced an average of 3.5-4 thousand cars a month.
By the end of 2010 they managed to bring the output up to 5,5-5,7 thousand units per month, exceeding the maximum values.
