Brazil – the largest producer of coffee in the world, faced with the risk of frost after this month in the country hail. In this regard, analysts predict, coffee prices this year may grow by 40%.
The possibility of frost in Brazil has increased with the weakening influence of the weather phenomenon La Niño, which led to a cooling of Pacific Ocean, – said the Brazilian Meteorological Service.
Thus, frozen in 1994 led to huge losses in crop yields of coffee beans, which resulted in a jump in prices by 39%.
